How a Robotic Vacuum and Mop Helped Me Improve My Daily Cleaning Routine

Cleaning your home can be a stressful and time-consuming task, but thanks to the new Eufy robotic vacuum and mop, my experience has completely changed. This smart device not only provides a thorough cleaning of floors, but also makes everyday tasks easier with its advanced automatic cleaning technology.

The Eufy Omni S1 Pro is the best robot vacuum I’ve ever used, and I’ve tested quite a few over the years. Price and availability

The Eufy Omni S1 Pro was initially offered through Kickstarter but has recently fully launched and is currently being sold on Eufy’s website and Amazon. The robot vacuum, including the charging base and all included components, is currently priced at $1,499, with no current discount deals. While there are no discount codes available at the moment, Eufy does offer plans through Affirm’s buy-now-pay-later service for as low as $136 per month if needed.

Preparing for launch

The box that housed the Eufy Omni S1 Pro was huge — much bigger than I thought it would be — but it was a great multi-functional base. It’s worth noting that Eufy explicitly has ten functions for the base, but more on that later. The box was clear and sturdy, keeping the contents safe and secure. Upon opening it, I was greeted by the futuristic design of the robot vacuum, the docking station, some accessories, and documentation.

Most robot vacuums look the same: a circular robot with a sensor sticking out the top like an airplane cockpit. In short, they’re boring, overdone, and predictable. Eufy has chosen to go its own way with the Omni S1 Pro. It’s not a circular robot vacuum, but a square one with rounded edges (or a square circle, if you must), and no protrusion from the top of the device.

This design is sleek and modern, with an emphasis on minimalist aesthetics. This design language doesn’t stop at the robot vacuum/mop itself but also translates to the mounting base. While this vacuum is sleek, clean, modern and great looking, it is also strong and durable.

The setup process was straightforward after connecting everything to the Eufy Clean app (available for Android and iPhone). I removed some of the stuffing used for charging, connected the base tray to the station, turned on the main power switch for the mop/vacuum, checked the dust bag, added cleaning solution (a great approach compared to adding solution directly to the water tank), connected the dirty water tank, filled the clean water tank, and then began the mapping process for the unit.

This process was quick; unlike other robot vacuums that have to cover every inch (or almost every spot) of your home to map it, the Omni S1 Pro was able to get a visualization of the main floor of my home in minutes. I avoided toys, furniture, and kids while mapping every nook and cranny. After mapping, I refined the room markings, specifically noting where the living room ended, the kitchen began, where the hallway met the entryway, etc. It did a pretty good job, but I wanted to improve it so that when I’m only cleaning certain rooms, I know where to beg my kids to stop dropping crumbs for at least 20 minutes. Made cleaning a forgotten task

As I mentioned, this hybrid mop and vacuum base makes it even more superior. Eufy refers to the base as the UniClean 10-in-1 Station. In one tower, it can automatically empty, wash, refill, and dry with hot air; it features Eco-Clean Ozone, dirty water collection, mop detergent dispenser, LCD touchscreen, dust bag, and fast charging.

Aside from the best multi-use charging base I’ve ever used, the robot mop and vacuum is the most impressive robot I’ve ever unleashed in my home. Some of the standout features include a rotating mop that continuously cleans itself, a precision corner-to-edge cleaning feature, 3D MatrixEye obstacle avoidance, and a powerful 8,000Pa suction.

Those are impressive stats, but how they translate to everyday use is that I’ve used this machine every day to clean everything from kitchen spills to my entire house. I haven’t had to pull out my mop or other vacuum since day one of owning the S1 Pro. In fact, I’ve ditched my standalone vacuum altogether because I hate messes, and I only use a handheld vacuum for a few crumbs on the counter, even though I could have just dumped them on the floor and had the Omni S1 Pro pick them up.

I’ve refilled the water a few times but never replaced the cleaning solution or the waste bag. This great addition to my home cleaning routine has allowed me to set it and forget it. I trust it to avoid obstacles, slide easily under my furniture, and keep my home spotless without much effort. Should you buy the Eufy Omni S1 Pro?

She gave me back Eufy Omni S1 Pro The time I used to spend vacuuming or mopping so I can spend it on more important things in my life. If you're looking for a great multi-purpose vacuum/mop and have a decent amount of hardwood floors or space to vacuum, there's no better option on the market right now.

The only downside to this vacuum is that it’s a self-cleaning unit, so I did get semi-regular notifications to clean some of the filters on the robot, which took a few seconds each time.
