A shooting game (FPS) so realistic that the developers were forced to provide proof that it was indeed a video game, and not real shots. At the same time, it was another relatively similar game which was in turn widely shared on social networks, namely Bodycam.

A revolutionary video game
A game from Reissad Studios, available since the very beginning of summer on the Steam platform. This is also an ultra-realistic first-person shooter, but this time focused on multiplayer, and produced using the latest Unreal Engine 5 technologies. Another particularity of this Bodycam, the fact of having been developed by two French people, namely two brothers, Lucas and Léo Dassier, barely twenty years old.
With the capabilities and technologies offered by the new Unreal Engine 5, players can experience a next-generation gaming experience that showcases “the future of realistic video games.” And we have to admit that each new gameplay video from this Bodycam is yet another technical feat for the retina, which does not always succeed in distinguishing the virtual from the real.

Home development
Obviously, since its launch last June, Bodycam continues to be refined by its creators, whose studio is located… within the parental home, in the Paris region. The latest update of the game (which is still not available in version 1.0) includes various optimizations, but also two new game maps, two new modes…
Due to its realism, Bodycam brings a real new way of playing. Not in terms of its gameplay, but rather in terms of its immersion, its atmosphere, with a wide angle shot (fish eye) and camera movements designed to achieve the most absolute realism. Added to this is an audio section which is also very authentic, the two brothers having used very real weapon sounds for this.

Today's resources
“Twenty years ago, we would never have been able to make a game like this between two people. Everything related to art, to 3D, is very, very expensive, and today there are more and more free resources that can allow two young people to create a game at roughly the same level as those made by teams of 200 to 300 people” we proudly explain at Reissad Studios. A small challenge sent to certain major publishers, who still struggle to provide games worthy of the name, despite often colossal budgets.
Currently, around 1 million copies of Bodycam have been sold. The ambition of the two creators remains to refine their creation, and to make Bodycam “a game that we remember”.
