The Memories feature in the Google Photos app is one of the fun additions that allows you to recall special moments from the past. Now, Google has made available a new update that makes sharing your memories easier than before by turning them into editable and shareable video files.
In this article, we'll go over how to use this new feature to easily personalize your memories and share them as videos, adding a personal touch to your special moments. Read on to find out all the details!
You can now share memories outside of Google Photos
In 2019, Google added the Memories feature to the Photos app. Memories is a story-like feature that highlights moments from the past, specific days, or photos that all have something in common.
Google has sought to make these memories more shareable over time, recognizing that users want to share these moments with their family and friends. However, it's never been easier to share photo slideshows outside the app for anyone who doesn't use Google Photos.
However, things have changed now. As he discovered Smartdroid For the first time, Google Photos now lets you share memories as videos, removing the need for the recipient to click a link and go to the Google Photos app.
Now, if you see a memory you want to share, you can make a few edits before sharing the full slideshow of photos as a video file. All you have to do is click a button Share choice Share the anniversary.
You can then share it as is, with all photos included, and name by default. Or click release To change the name, remove some images, and/or enable or disable music playing below them.
Once done, you can share it either on Google Photos, or on any other social media or messaging app you might want to mention. Because the memory is sent as a video file, it can be played immediately.
Now I will share my Google Photos memories with more people
If I'm honest, the ease with which I can share Google Photos memories with anyone now will only have one effect. And it made me share it with more people. Even those who are unlikely to care what I was doing on a given day in January 2021.
I can't help but wonder why it took so long for Google to add the ability to share photo memories as video files. I think the company wanted to force people to use Google Photos instead of making the video file available directly. However, it's a great addition to an already great feature. Now you can see the reasons why I never delete old photos from my phone.
