Microsoft finally offers a free program to refurbish Windows PCs

But now Microsoft is entering the dance with PC Managerits first official cleaning software for Windows. After a beta phase in October 2022, this program is now available in final version on the Microsoft Store for Windows 10 and 11.

Comparable to well-known third-party software, PC Manager's mission is to declutter system folders and improve the overall performance of your computer by freeing up space.

Initially developed for the Chinese market, the application is now accessible in several regions. However, it seems that it is not yet downloadable in France, but its arrival should not take long.

• PC Boost : removes unnecessary processes and temporary files. An option Smart Boost is available to handle peaks in RAM usage and eliminate temporary files exceeding 1 GB.
• Thorough cleaning : searches for old Windows update files, empties the Recycle Bin, website and application cache for deep cleaning.
• Startup : allows you to control the applications that launch at startup, in order to speed up boot time.
• Process : offers an overview of all running processes, with the possibility of closing them without going through the Task Manager.
• Large files : Quickly identifies large files on your drives, eliminating the need to manually search for them in File Explorer.
