2. How to Enable Lost Mode on Any Apple Device?

Here are the steps to activate Apple’s Lost Mode.

1. Open any browser app on any device, such as a laptop or other Apple gadget you have.
2. Go to iCloud.com.
3. Sign in using your Apple ID credentials. (use the same Apple ID on which you were signed into the lost Apple device)
   
4. Click on Find iPhone.
5. Authenticate by providing your Apple ID password > click Sign In.
   
6. All the Apple devices and their respective locations will show up, and they will be signed in using the same Apple ID.
7. Select the device for which you want to enable the Apple Lost Mode.
8. You will have three options for that device: play sound, enable Lost modeand Erase iPhone.
9. Select Lost Mode.
   
10. To keep the iPhone/iPad safe from miscreants, you also have the option to remotely set a screen lock on your iPhone. This will prevent anyone from unlocking the iPhone.
11. Enter the passcode when asked and confirm to activate the screen lock.
12. You will be asked to enter a phone number. If a good Samaritan discovers your Apple device, he would want to contact you to return your iPhone/iPad. For that, he needs a contact number. If you have an auxiliary phone number, enter the same or your family member’s phone number.
    
13. You can also add a message citing the urgency to return the lost device on the contact above number as soon as possible.
14. Click Done once the process is over.

3. Steps to Disable Lost Mode on your iPhone

Once you return your iPhone or iPad, you want to turn off the Apple Lost Mode you previously set. Here’s how to do it.

1. Go to www.iCloud.com on your Apple device.
2. Log in using your Apple ID &password.
3. Go to All Devices > select the device for which you had set the Lost Mode.
4. Click Lost Mode > click Stop Lost Mode to disable it.
